Terms of Sale

These terms apply to every piece sold through goldenmullet250.com and at our events. Please read them before you buy. If anything here is unclear, email us before paying rather than after — we would rather answer the question than unwind the sale.

Who you are buying from

Pieces are sold by Catalyst One Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”) in connection with the America 250 Golden Mullet project. Payment is processed by Stripe.

Your card statement will read CATALYST ONE VENTURES, not “Golden Mullet”. That is us. If you see that line and do not recognise it, please email us before disputing the charge and we will sort it out the same day.

What you are buying

Each piece is a physical, hand-painted, one-of-one artwork, numbered and recorded in our permanent registry. You are buying an object and its place in that record.

You are not buying an investment, a security, a token, a share of anything, or a charitable donation. We make no claim about what a piece may be worth at any future time, and nothing on this site should be read as one.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are the full price of the piece. Payment is taken in full at the time of purchase, on Stripe’s own checkout page. We never see or hold your card number.

Some levels are sold by invoice rather than by card. Where that is the case the site will route you to a request form instead of a checkout, and the same terms apply once the invoice is paid.

Any tax that applies to your purchase is calculated at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

Cancelling — you have 3 business days

You may cancel any purchase within 3 business days of buying it, for any reason or none, and receive a full refund. This applies to every piece, bought any way — online, at an event, or by invoice.

To cancel, email larsenteam@gmail.com with your name and order details, or tell any member of our team at the event. You do not need to give a reason. We will confirm in writing.

We refund to the original payment method within 10 days of your cancellation reaching us. If you have already collected the piece, cancelling means returning it to us in the condition you received it.

After the 3 business days have passed, sales are final. Each piece is a unique original made and numbered for one buyer, so we cannot restock or resell it as an identical item.

Claiming your piece — nothing ships

We do not post or ship anything. Every piece is claimed in person. That is why we never ask you for a delivery address.

Pieces are claimed at our event at Maria’s in New Orleans on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Bring the confirmation email you receive after paying.

If you cannot attend. Your piece is yours — not attending does not forfeit it and does not entitle us to keep your money. Email us and we will hold your piece and arrange another way for you to receive it in person. We hold unclaimed pieces for 12 months from the event and will contact you at the address on your order before that period ends.

One-of-one, and what happens if something goes wrong

Because every piece is unique and painted by hand, the finished work will differ from any photograph, sample or preview you have seen. Variation is the nature of the thing, not a defect.

If a specific square you selected cannot be completed — it is damaged before you collect it, or becomes unavailable — we will offer you the choice of another square at the same level or a full refund. We will not substitute one without asking you first.

The event

Our event depends on a single date and a single venue. If circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent it going ahead as planned — weather, the venue, illness, or anything of that kind — we may move the date or the location, and will tell you as soon as we know.

If we cannot hold the event at all and cannot arrange another way for you to receive your piece, you will be refunded in full. Attendance at the event is not what you are paying for; the piece is.

The artwork and your photograph

You own the physical piece you buy. The artist retains copyright in the artwork itself, including the right to photograph it and to reproduce images of it in connection with the project. You are free to photograph and display your own piece.

We photograph pieces, and often buyers, at our events. Whether we publish a photograph of you is your choice and is off by default — see the Privacy Policy for how that consent is recorded and how to withdraw it.

Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old and buying within the United States. We sell within the United States only.

If we disagree

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, where the sale takes place, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement. Where a right of that kind gives you more than this page does, it applies instead.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published when you bought.
